Girard-Perregaux’s new Sea Hawk watches boldly challenge bright colors. The dial, hands and unidirectional rotating bezel of this diving watch are embellished with cobalt blue and coral orange, showing outstanding performance in a leisurely and elegant form.
The Sea Hawk diving watch inherits the original technical and appearance characteristics. These iconic features have become the success magic weapon of this series after redesign in 2012. The cobalt blue dial and strap show the colors of the ocean, while the orange hands adorn the minutes, seconds, and power reserve displays, and the bezel highlights the diving 0 to 15-minute scale in orange.
The dial is decorated with three-dimensional ‘honeycomb’ carvings. The three-dimensional time scale is covered with a fluorescent coating to ensure readability in the dark. The minute inner scale is marked on the inclined inner ring, which elegantly connects the dial with the case. At 2 o’clock, a date display window with a polished outer edge is set to reflect the unique asymmetrical beauty. At 6 o’clock, the power reserve display with an orange area clearly indicates when the movement must be wound. The small second hand is set at 10 o’clock. The hands are coated with a super-fluorescent coating for accurate reading in the dark. A unidirectional rotatable bezel surrounds the sapphire crystal to calculate the diving time, and the notched edge design makes it easy to adjust the bezel.
